WDFD Records Sign The Latitude
10/10/2022WDFD Records is super excited to announce that Scottish indie band The Latitude have signed to the label. The Latitude optimise exactly the type of talent that WDFD Records is looking to nurture within its ranks; blending a young and energetic sound with a strong desire to get their music into new ears and extend their reach outside of their local area.
Based in a small town outside of Glasgow, The Latitude officially came into being when Rhys, Ryan and Jude got together with another friend Josh and entered a North Lanarkshire ‘Battle of the Band’ school competition. They came third in that first year and won it when they entered for a second time. The band then began gigging on the Glasgow circuit, playing sold out shows and have also released two singles to date, Kickin’ and Addicted. Original member Josh moved on to pastures new and Connor Frame joined the band adding a new depth and dimension.
WDFD Records Director Keith Lamley says “I am so excited that The Latitude have chosen WDFD to start their journey with. They have a youthful buoyancy and a modern sound that resonates with people of all ages, and I’m confident they have a great future ahead of them.
